Hospitality

Safe and reliable housing stands out as one of the most pressing needs for those experiencing homelessness. As a result of this need for housing, as well as our belief in God’s radical hospitality towards all, we open several rooms in our home to women with/without children experiencing homelessness. Our guests live with us until they are able to transition into permanent housing. Twice a week, community members and guests gather to share dinner together, which provides opportunities for us to grow in relationship and appreciation for each others’ various life paths. At our “Alumni Nights” on Thursday evenings, we especially welcome former guests of Casa de Clara to come back to visit and have dinner (Discontinued temporarily due to Covid-19). Holidays often include the gathering of alumni, who still feel a sense of home at Casa de Clara.
Volunteers often support the hospitality ministry by preparing dinner and then joining us for the meal.
